About CSOM

The Corrections Program Office (CPO)

The Corrections Program Office (CPO) was established within the Office of Justice Programs (OJP) in 1995 to implement the correctional grant programs created by the Violent Crime Control and Law Enforcement Act of 1994, as amended (Crime Act). The programs administered by CPO are: the Violent Offender Incarceration and Truth-in-Sentencing Incentive Formula Grant Program (VOI/TIS), the Residential Substance Abuse Treatment for State Prisoners Formula Grant Program (RSAT), and Facilities on Tribal Lands Discretionary Grant Program. CPO also sponsors the Comprehensive Approaches to Sex Offender Management grant initiative.
