Provided a consultant for a two-day SOMT retreat to assist with collaboration and developing a vision, mission, and goals at the request of the Hawaii Department of Public Safety in Honolulu, Hawaii, April 2006 (22 participants).
Conducted a three-day training on sex offender management and reentry in Honolulu, Hawaii, November 2005 (157 participants).
OJP Grant Sites:
2006: The Hawaii Department of Public Safety (HDOPS) will use federal funding to establish a statewide mapping system for both juvenile and adult sex offenders. The Sex Offender Management Team in collaboration with HDOPS will expand awareness and collaboration efforts for their Sex Offender Management Team, develop an intensive training plan, and implement a best practice standard for all sex offender case management in the state.
