Missouri

Technical Assistance:

Missouri Parole Board (January 2002): Provided one staff member to meet with the Parole Board to assist them in integrating into their approach to managing sex offenders information from a training on sex offender assessment and treatment.

Family Court of St. Louis County, Missouri (August 1999): Conducted two site visits to assess the county's request to develop a collaborative approach to responding to juvenile sexual abuse.

13th Circuit Family Court, Juvenile Division, Missouri (August 1998): CSOM provided support to enable two agency planning team members to attend the CSOM training at the 1998 Summer APPA Training Institute.

Training:

CSOM presented a workshop on best practices in juvenile sex offender management at the Johnson County Juvenile Center Conference to a multidisciplinary audience comprised of treatment providers, supervision officers, judicial members, social services, victim advocates in Warrensburg, Missouri, June 2006 (45 participants).

Conducted a workshop session on juvenile sex offenders to Police Juvenile Officers and County Juvenile Officers at the request of the Missouri Police Juvenile Officers' Association in Lake of the Ozarks, Missouri, May 2006 (75 participants)

Provided a statewide training for 10 judicial circuit-based, multidisciplinary teams, including juvenile court judges and magistrates, juvenile supervision agents, treatment providers, victim advocates, and representatives from the Office of State Courts Administrator and the departments of mental health, social, youth, and family services in Lake of the Ozarks, Missouri, June 2000 (60 participants).

Provided a training which served as a pilot for the judges’ video curriculum to a group of in Jefferson City, Missouri, May 2000 (12 participants).

Provided a statewide training for 12 teams, including juvenile court judges and magistrates, juvenile supervision agents, treatment providers, victim advocates, and representatives from the Office of State Courts Administrator and the departments of mental health, social, youth, and family services in Lake of the Ozarks, Missouri, July 1999 (100 participants).

Provided a local training for juvenile court judges and magistrates, juvenile supervision agents, treatment providers, victim advocates, and representatives from the Office of State Courts Administrator and the departments of mental health, social, youth, and family services in Columbia, Missouri, March 1999 (45 participants).
