North Dakota

Technical Assistance:

North Dakota Governor’s Commission on Sex Offender Management, Bismarck, North Dakota (March 2004): CSOM staff and a consultant conducted a review of current practices in North Dakota directed at managing the risk presented by sex offenders in the community and provided an overview briefing for the Governor and key executive branch officials regarding emerging best practices.

Training:

Conducted a one-day training on community case management/supervision of juvenile sex offenders at the request of the North Dakota Supreme Court in Carrington, North Dakota, September 2004 (50 participants).

Conducted ad-hoc training on the Static-99 and Stable/Acute-2000 at the request of the North Dakota DOCR. Provided technical assistance to the sex offender specialist committee on restructuring the pre-sentence investigation process for sex offenders in Bismarck, North Dakota, April 2004 (75 participants).
